A brief introduction to the process of machining the mirror surface of workpieces with a flat polishing machine
The flat polishing machine produces a mirror finish on the surface of the workpiece, which cannot be processed by the last polishing process, but requires pre-processing through multiple processes such as rough grinding, semi precision grinding, and precision grinding. The lower the required surface roughness value of the workpiece, the more pre grinding processes need to be carried out before the flat polishing machine polishes. The decrease in surface roughness value is gradual, with coarse abrasive particles, strong cutting ability, high grinding efficiency, and low quality of the ground surface obtained. The flat polishing machine has fine abrasive particles, weak cutting ability, low grinding efficiency, and produces high-quality ground surfaces. Therefore, in order to improve grinding efficiency, when selecting abrasive particle size, it should be graded from coarse to fine, and finally ground to the required surface roughness value of the workpiece.
